How to Delete Your Data

You have full control over your data. This guide explains how to delete your HerRhythm account and what happens when you do.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Log In

Go to HerRhythm Login and sign in with your email and password.

Step 2: Navigate to Your Profile

Once logged in, click on your profile icon or go to Profile Page.

Step 3: Find Delete Account Option

Scroll to the bottom of your Profile page. You'll see a "Delete Account" button in the Account Settings section.

Step 4: Confirm Deletion

Click "Delete Account" and confirm that you want to permanently delete your data.

Warning: This action cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently deleted.

Step 5: Deletion Complete

Your account and all associated data will be deleted immediately. You'll be logged out and redirected to the homepage.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

✗ Deleted Forever:

  • Your email address
  • Your account credentials
  • All questionnaire responses
  • All cycle and health data
  • Period and symptom logs
  • Dietary preferences
  • Fitness information
  • All personal information

✓ What May Remain:

  • Anonymized usage statistics (no personal identifiers)
  • Legal records if required by law
  • Backup copies (deleted within 30 days)

Timeline: Your personal data is deleted immediately upon account deletion. Backup copies are purged within 30 days.

Can't Access Your Account?

If you can't log in but want to delete your data, you can request deletion by email:

Email Deletion Request

  1. Send an email to coachyourcycle@gmail.com
  2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include:
    • The email address associated with your HerRhythm account
    • Confirmation that you want to permanently delete all data
    • Any additional details to help us verify your identity
  4. We'll respond within 30 days and delete your data once verified

What Happens After Deletion

You'll Be Logged Out

Your session will end immediately and you'll be redirected to the homepage.

Can't Log Back In

Your account no longer exists. If you try to log in with your old credentials, you'll get an error message.

Data Is Gone

All your cycle data, recommendations, and personal information are permanently deleted. We cannot recover deleted data.

You Can Create a New Account

If you change your mind, you can always create a new HerRhythm account with the same email address. However, it will start from scratch - no previous data will be restored.

Your Data Rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR and UK data protection laws, you have the right to:

You can request that we delete your personal data at any time.

Before deleting, you can request a copy of all your data in machine-readable format.

You can download your data to use with another service before deletion.

Deleting your account withdraws your consent for us to process your data.

Can I recover my data after deletion?

No. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure you want to delete your account before confirming.

How long does deletion take?

Your account is deleted immediately. Backup copies are purged within 30 days.

Will I still receive emails after deletion?

No. Once your account is deleted, we'll stop sending you any emails (unless you've separately signed up for our waitlist or demo).

Can I download my data before deleting?

Yes. You can view all your data in your Profile page. To request a machine-readable export (JSON format), email us at coachyourcycle@gmail.com before deleting your account.

What if I just want to stop using HerRhythm temporarily?

You don't need to delete your account. Simply log out and don't log back in. Your data will remain safely stored if you want to return later. We don't delete inactive accounts.

Can I delete only some of my data?

You can edit or remove individual entries (like period logs or symptoms) in your Profile page. However, the account deletion process removes all data at once.
